The Career Development Center (CDC) at the National Institute of Technology has officially launched the English Debate Club, as part of its broader initiative to enhance the capabilities of students across various fields.
Debating in a structured and logical manner is a hallmark of civic maturity and societal progress. The club provides a platform for students to practice public speaking, argumentation, and critical thinking in English—recognized globally as a lingua franca and a professional gateway.
Led by the Institute’s Quality Assurance Coordinator, Library Head, and Website Editor, Mr. Mohamed Qadir Faqe Mohamed, the club draws inspiration from classical traditions of inquiry, particularly the Socratic method, which has shaped intellectual progress throughout history.
The ultimate goal is to empower students to master English communication and logical debate, equipping them with tools to succeed both locally and internationally.
